Prestatyn Station Footbridge
(June 2010 – August 2011)
A full 3-D fabrication model was produced and submitted for approval. Supply of 356 tonnes of steel enabled the manufacture of a 28m span footbridge; a lift shaft; 3 No. access staircases and 240 meters of approach ramps. All surface finishing to Network Rail N1 specification was undertaken in-house; anti-slip coatings were applied by specialist approved sub-contractors in our workshops and sections were transported to site. Full contract lifting of steelwork during rail possessions enabled installation. A stainless steel wire rope system formed a secondary balustrade and toughened laminated glazing the proprietary edge protection.
